This book contains some of the sexiest scenes because the male main character, Knox, is a virgin, which is completely unusual in the romance genre.
Knox is a college football player who is looking to go pro. While his focus is on football, this is not the reason for his abstinence. He is denying himself because he is waiting for someone who he cares about. He acknowledges that he can have any girl that he wants on campus, but he doesn’t want just meaningless sex. He wants the person he has sex with for the first time to be the person he loves, a person he could see having a serious relationship with in the future.
“I didn’t wait for religious reasons…I waited because if I wanted physical release, I had my hand. I waited for the right girl.”
Knox’s position on sex is refreshing. His desire to abstain and wait for someone special makes the scenes in the book, when he finally succumbs to desire, that much hotter. Once he sleeps with Ellie, he believes they will be together forever.
“It’s your first time with me. You aren’t ever sleeping with another guy. Okay?
Sacked is an amazing sports romance that you should definitely give a try. You get all the aspects of sports trope, but with the twist of a virgin hero. You will also fall in love with the team, and you get to meet them in the following books.
“I lick my lips, remembering how it felt to have her on my tongue, and I dive between her legs. ‘You smell amazing.’ I let the scent of her fill my nose, my head, my lungs…She quivers beneath me. Her parts are shiny and slick and the taste of her is everything against my tongue. I want to eat her up before and after every meal…
Her hands dig into my skull…
‘Don’t stop!’ she cries…
‘Where, baby?’ I like her telling me how to make her feel good. She’s coaching me to do my best and I’ve never wanted to perform so well my entire life.
‘Inside of me.’ She pulls on my hair and thrashes her head from side to side…’Everywhere. I need you everywhere!’ The last word comes out a thin, reedy cry…
The wet heat of her against my hand has me nearly coming. Sex with Ellie requires more discipline than anything in my entire life…
I slowly sink into her inch by excruciating inch. Her legs widen even more, and my wire thin control snaps. Here velvet embrace burns me up…
The rightness of it all clicks into place. I was right to have waited. I was right that Ellie was the one.”
What he wants he gets…
Knox Masters is a quarterback’s worst nightmare. Warrior. Champion. And…virgin. Knox knows what he wants–and he gets it. All American Football player? Check. NFL pros scouting him? Check. Now, he’s set his sight on two things. The national title. And Ellie Campbell. Sure, she’s the sister of his fellow teammate, but that’s not going to stop him. Especially not when he’s convinced Ellie is the one.
…but he’s never met her before.
But Ellie isn’t as sure. She’s trying to start a new life and she’s not interested in a relationship…with anyone. Beside it’s not just her cardinal rule of never dating her brother’s teammates that keeps her away, but Ellie has a dark secret that would jeopardize everything Knox is pursuing.
Knox has no intention of losing. Ellie has no intention of giving in.
