Jo Raven is another author who I stumbled upon when I was perusing Amazon, and I found Asher for free. Deciding to take a chance, I read the entire Inked Brotherhood series in one week. I loved these group of tattoo artists and the family they create together.
I fell that I should warn you that Jo Raven’s books have these characters that are incredibly damaged, often by people who are supposed to protect them. The trials they endure are great and heartbreaking, and they are often self-destructive as a result. As a reader, though, you love them and want them to get past all the hardships they have endured.
What makes me even more excited for this book is there is an element of mystery to this series. These men are wealthy and from high-society, so completely opposite from the characters she normally writes about, but the who is trying to harm them and who is the secret society drew me into this series. I am anxiously awaiting Hawk to see how these three friends are faring since the end of Storm.
Bad-boy heir to the Fleming Group empire, Jamie “Hawk” Fleming, at your service.
Here’s the breakdown: my father has been thrown behind bars on murder charges, and my mother as accessory. That was three months ago, and since then, everything has been a downhill ride.
The only thing keeping me sane right now is Hot Body. Her name is Layla, and all that matters is that she’s gorgeous, sexy, and great in bed.
Until I wake up tied up and gagged, Layla standing over me. Sounds promising, huh? A pretty girl, maybe handcuffs and a whip?
But that’s not our scene, and the pissed-off men who kidnapped me are lurking in the shadows, ensuring that this experience won’t be fun at all…
