This is the first book that I have read by Corinne Michaels. I own her other books, but they are part of duets and I never read a duet until I have both books. Then, and other book hoarders will understand this, I just haven’t gotten to them. However, her books will be moved to the top of TBR list since reading Say You’ll Stay.
I was given the honor of being gifted an ARC from Inkslingers, and you will find my initial reaction to the book below. A longer and more complete review will be released during the book tour.
I was completely shocked by chapter one, and I wasn’t sure how I would feel about the book based on the events that unfolded. Corinne Michaels’s words, however, told a beautiful tale of forgiveness and second chances. I simply loved the whole story, and it has left a feeling of warmth in my heart (that sounds incredibly corny, but it is still true). I also loved all of the secondary characters, and I need to know their stories! I can’t wait to continue with the Hennington brothers!
It was all he had to do. Instead, he got on that bus and took my heart with him.
That was seventeen years ago.
I moved on. Marriage. Kids. White picket fence. Everything I ever wanted, but my husband betrayed me and I was left once again.
Alone, penniless, and with two boys, I had no choice but to return to Tennessee. He wasn’t supposed to be there. I should’ve been safe. However, fate has a way of stepping in.
This time around, the tables are turned. It’s my decision. Second chances do exist, but I don’t know if we can repair what’s already been broken…
