My musings…
I know this book wasn’t released that long ago; however, I often find myself thinking of certain scenes and how my heart ached for these characters. Because I’m still thinking about these characters and their story, even though I have read many books since this one, it is featured as one of my favorite re-reads.
Modern Belle’s Review…
5 Crowns
Tahoe…what can I say about this hero? So many times I wanted to hate him, and my heart ached for Gina, but in the end I loved them both and him with each passing page.
Tahoe is a manwhore, there is no other way to put it, but he has some skeletons in his closet that explain why, and Gina has been broken by previous relationships, romantic and familial. From the beginning their sexual chemistry is off the charts, leaving the reader to wonder when they will finally let their walls down. This book is definitely a slow burn, but the build-up is worth it, starting with friendship. What I love about the book is that Katy Evans leaves the characters honorable and well loved. There are no devious characters or secrets waiting to ruin what the characters have finally earned by the end of the book. I also love the cameos of secondary characters!
Ladies Man is another home-run in the series, and I can’t wait to read Carmichael’s story!
He’s the one night stand.
Except he passed on my offer….
Just like I once did on his.
He’s wary, like I am.
He’s broken, like I am.
And everyone knows two broken parts can’t ever make a whole.
So I try to distract myself. I’m back to dating.
Tahoe and I are strictly friends. He doesn’t think my new beau is good enough, but to him, no man is good enough for me. Especially Tahoe himself.
But the more time Tahoe and I spend around each other, the more confused I feel.
I’m trying to open myself to love.
But I’m quickly realizing that the only man I want is stubborn, cocky, unattainable playboy Tahoe Roth.
The one your mother warned you about.
The one my body craves.
The only one who will surely break my heart.
**Although part of the Manwhore series, this book can be read as standalone.**
