#NewRelease “Rockstar” by Lauren Rowe

ROCKSTAR, an all-new standalone emotional romance by Lauren Rowe is NOW LIVE!

Sarah’s Musings…

4.5 Three is My Lucky Number CROWNS

In true Morgan family fashion, Rockstar was entertaining from cover to cover. Lauren Rowe, with her lovable and uniquely refreshing cast of characters enchants me with equal parts, humor, romance, and chemistry. I never want this series to end.

Dax! I loved this man so much. He is so in touch with his feelings and his emotions. I mean, fireflies, enough said. Like his siblings, he is completely charming, gifted in music, and passionate about his family and his career. Like any good character, there are some demons, some challenges that Dax has to face that adds complexity to his character. Like any character, he makes mistakes, but I ultimately enjoy he makes ammends for his actions with Violet.

Violet couldn’t have been a better fit for Dax in all aspects. The two of them together just had this insatiable chemistry that lit up the pages. What I always want in a heroine, and what I ultimately found in Violet is an inner-strength to know your worth and demand it. I have come to find that these are the women I prefer to read about, the ones that aren’t ferocious outwardly, but who have a quiet strength and who know and demand their worth.

As a couple, these two ignited the pages. From their dialogue to the more intimate moments, there is a casual ease to their love. They fit. They make each other better. They make each other happy. Even their HEA is uniquely them, and I love that with each story, Lauren Rowe stays true to each couple and family member of the Morgan clan.

There was one tiny moment at the end of the book, the felt a bit off for me. I felt like I was being told a bunch of information, like I was reading an essay in a informative interview of sorts versus it being shown to me. It was one chapter, near the end, but the reason it stood out to me is because this is very unlike Lauren’s writing and very different from the writing style of the rest of the book. This tiny blip, however, did not decrease my enjoyment of ROCKSTAR.

I have said it before and I will say it again, I want the Morgan family to adopt me. The love this family has for each other is evident with each word, each act, each joke. They are the family I want my family to be, they are the sibling relationships I hope my daughters have. They are light and love, and I always enjoy coming back to this world.

Synopsis:

It was lyrics at first sight when I saw Violet Rhodes across that crowded party. She was lights and darks, swirled together. Music in motion. And all of it while looking like a hitwoman at an Elvis convention.

I had nothing to offer the intriguing girl but a one-night stand. I figured I’d revel in my last night of anonymity before my first tour and shoot her a quick “We’ll always have L.A.!” goodbye the next morning.

But nothing went according to plan.

In one night, Violet crawled under my skin and into my bloodstream. She tattooed her name across my chest and between my legs. She became my muse. And then she was gone.

Now, months later, here she is again. And in a twist I never saw coming, it turns out Violet is ultra-violet radiation. Beautiful, ethereal light bringing with her the promise of damage and destruction.

My brain tells me to walk away from this girl, but my heart can’t stop feeling like she might be one of a kind . . . the sort of girl who comes along once in a violet moon.

ROCKSTAR is a standalone romance, the love story of Dax Morgan and the electrifying woman who rocked his world during his journey to worldwide rock superstardom.
