Christmas just became a whole lot merrier…

Yard Sale by Charleigh Rose
5 Snowy Crowns
Hot as Heck snowboarder with an edge. Sassy heroine who handles him. Scorching chemistry that burns you up. You get it all with Yard Sale by Charleigh Rose.
Boy, oh boy, how I love Cam! God, he is complete and total hero perfection. An athletic body, the perfect amount of arrogance and swagger, and the big heart underneath will have readers swooning. There is not literally one thing in this novel that he did that didn’t hit the right spot.
Mollie is so sassy from the moment readers meet her. She can go toe to toe with Cam, and that makes her my favorite type of heroine. I love her freedom in the bedroom, and her choices that follow after. She is the type of heroine I want to be friends with.
The pacing of this novella is perfect. It moves quickly, transitioning from lust to love, but Charleigh Rose got me to invest in them as a couple and cheer for them to get together. The snapshot is enough to entertain me, heat me up, and sigh at the romance between these two. I felt fully satisfied by their story, but I wouldn’t mind some more of him and hope to see them all again in other books.
Yard Sale is perfect sports romance novella. It is sexy, fun, and full of heart, a definite must read!
Cross by Adriana Locke
5 Going Home CROWNS
Cross is reminiscent of the Landry series and book one of the Gibson Boys series. In a novella, Adriana Locke is able to capture the essence of home that readers have come to expect and love.
Cross is the type of hero if I have come to expect from this author. He is sexy with a side of sweet and a little gruff around the edges. He charms his way into your heart and makes you laugh at his antics. Readers will succumb to his charisma just as the heroine does.
Kallie is a little battered and bruised when she returns home, but when she returns to the town of Linton she begins to rediscover herself and opens her heart to the possibility of love. Just like the hero, she is charming, and while she has insecurities about her relationship with Cross, it is understandable based on their history. She gets it together though, and her vulnerability makes her more relatable.
Adriana Locke has created a story that allows a quick progression of the relationship between Cross and Kallie. Their background effectively establishes their previous relationship, creating authenticity to their feelings. Their chemistry, while not based solely on sexual attraction but emotion, solidifies that these two are more than two ships passing in the night. What they feel is real and their pain from the past and present is real. The conflict and resolution are quick but great for the plot and character development, and I love the ending she gives the characters.
I love going to back this world. Every single one of these men from The Gibson Boys series owns my heart, and I’m not sure I ever want to leave this world. This short trip just wasn’t enough.
4.5 Sin with Me CROWNS
Mandi Beck begins Sin Bin with a bang, literally and figuratively. The chemistry and passion between Stella and Dagger is explosive!
Jason Dagger is my favorite type of athlete. I can’t help it. Hockey players in romance novels are my thing, and I absolutely adore this man. He is dominant sexually in the best way, and although at times I wanted to throat punch him (one moment in particular), he makes up for it completely.
Stella is so strong and independent. Her need to succeed on her own makes me respect her as a heroine, but I love that her stubborn streak isn’t detrimental. Her desire for family is also another attribute I adore about her, but it is her vulnerability at the end of the novel that seals the deal.
Sin Bin is another fantastic novella. Mandi Beck pulls you in with out-of-this-world shenanigans on the ice and keeps you there with story filled with heart and family.
Back in the Game by Meghan Quinn
4 Tripod Crowns
Meghan Quinn nails another romantic comedy that has me laughing out loud and swooning where I sit.
Calder is single dad perfection. He loves his daughter and will literally do anything to make her happy, which just melts my heart. But there is more to him than being a Dad, and readers get to see the hot athletic man. Both sides make him completely irresistible.
Rachel is the typical Meghan Quinn heroine. Hilarious and a little atypical, she is completely endearing. Her sense of humor is charming and makes me love her.
This story has a ton of build up for a novella. Readers spend most of the book getting to know these characters and watching them fall for each other, making readers buy into their love story. This leads to a very quick conflict and resolution, but even though it was fast, the resolution is perfect and left me salivating for Three Blind Dates!
Hilarious and charming, Back in the Game is another fantastic read.
Sweeping the Series by Kate Stewart
5+ Queen of Heart CROWNS
This may be a tad bias but who the heck cares. I have a special place in my bookworm heart for this series and Rafe and Andy, and now I can add Mackavoy to the list. This series led me to be gorgeous words of Kate Stewart, and for that, these man and their ladies will forever be special to me.
Mackavoy is that playboy athlete, but hurt fuels his actions. Although we get the manwhore side to this character, Kate Stewart quickly earns our loyalty to him with hints of his broken heart and the man he once was. From this moment on, readers want him to get back to what he once was with the woman he loves.
Erica is lovely. She tries so hard to be strong in the face of the one who broke her, and I absolutely adore her. Once her reason for leaving is revealed, my heart broke for her a bit more, and I sympathized with her character. I love her sass and independence though, and this mixed with her vulnerable nature makes her such a relatable heroine.
Sweeping the Series is second chance romance perfection. Broken hearts yearning to heal, antagonistic moments laced with insane chemistry, and a plot that entertains from cover to cover creates pure magic.
5 Guard Me CROWNS
Full Court Press by Kennedy Ryan is everything we have come to expect from her – emotional and beautiful writing.
Decker has the perfect mix of cocky athlete and man with a beautiful soul. The way we meet him in the beginning showcases the arrogant aspect that seems to be a part of any athlete, but as the novel progresses we get to see the man he becomes (and what a man he becomes). Lord, did I love him. This man’s understanding, compassion, and emotion did me in, and I fell for another Kennedy Ryan hero.
Avery, for me, is very reminiscent of her other heroines. She is strong and making her way in a male dominated business. While she is this fierce reporter, Kennedy Ryan finds a way to still make her vulnerable and relatable. She has a past to overcome and issues to work through, but, once again, the author makes us root for her to win with the sympathy she cultivates for Avery.
This novella felt like a complete story, which is often difficult to manage. Kennedy Ryan, though, delivers complex characters, intense chemistry, and a love story that is more than lust, it is about that ever-lasting connection, the one you just can’t walk away from. Gah! Perfection!
Switch Hitter by Sara Ney
4.5 Heavenly CROWNS
Sara Ney has me totally invested in Jock Row. With Switch Hitter she has already made me fall in serious love with Amelia and Dash, and the prospect of seeing them again, even as secondary characters, has me excited for this new series.
Because it is a novella, readers don’t get too much information about these characters, but because they are just meeting and getting to know each other, these moments seem authentic. We get to know Dash and Amelia along with the characters. What is not lacking is chemistry. These two hit it off from the beginning, and I swear with every word uttered from Dash’s mouth, I swooned, especially when it is Spanish. Plus, both of these characters were lovable and honorable.
This is the perfect plot for a novella. We get the first date, getting to know you fun, with the pay off at the end. There is conflict that is genuine, the falling action makes secondary characters redeemable and the resolution to the story is HOT.
Switch Hitter is a fabulous introduction to her new series coming in 2018. I’m already dying for more, and I’ve only had a little taste of this world!
End Zone by LJ Shen
4 Like Lovers Do CROWNS
The End Zone by LJ Shen gives readers a super angsty, high chemistry novella that is fast paced and entertaining with its drama.
Sage and Jolie are best friends from childhood, and while we get minimal information about their friendship over the years, Shen establishes a believable relationship with the prologue. Once the story begins, though, the focus is on their sexual chemistry as well as the potential for it to be more.
Sage is the typical LJ Shen hero: abrasive, sexy, and, to be honest, a jerk, which is probably why I enjoy his character. Jolie is the typical heroine for this author: independent and challenging, willing to stand up to this hero and for this hero. Their chemistry is off the charts, partly because of the friendship that has developed of the years, and I found that I really enjoyed their moments together, and Sage’s moments of possessiveness.
With all the angst and drama and the transition from friends to lovers, the pace moves incredibly fast. Most of the chapters deal with the exposition and rising action of the story, and although the conflict and climax of the story is a fantastic choice, it is introduced and resolved quickly and with little detail. I would have liked to see how the actual conversation went down between characters. The resolution of the story, though, has to be one of the sweetest endings I’ve read in some time. I’m pretty sure an audible “Awww” slipped out of my mouth.
LJ Shen is one of my absolute favorite writers, and the End Zone gives readers everything they love about her to romances in a tight little package.
ARC received in exchange for an honest review.
Hot jocks. We love them all.
Sexy baseball players. Intense footballers. Sweaty MMA fighters, and sizzling hockey hotties. Score!

A contemporary romance author running on coffee and sticky kisses from my rowdy four little boys.
From Indiana, I’m a true Mid-Westerner. Life, for me, is about family, faith, and food. When I’m not running my kiddos around or having a lunch date of fajitas with my husband (and high school sweetheart), you can find me outside. I love a good sunny day almost as much as I love candy, random quotes, and steamy bad boys in fantastic books.
I’m on nearly every social media platform. Please find me on the ones you frequent – I love chatting with readers.

Mandi Beck has been an avid reader all of her life. A deep love for books always had her jotting down little stories on napkins, notebooks, and her hand. As an adult she was further submerged into the book world through book clubs and the epicness of social media. It was then that she graduated to writing her stories on her phone and then finally on a proper computer.
A nursing student, mother to two rambunctious and somewhat rotten boys, and stepmom to two great girls away at college, she shares her time with her husband in Chicago where she was born and raised. Mandi is a diehard hockey fan and blames the Blackhawks when her deadlines are not met.

I write romances with flawed characters, characters with artistic hearts: builders, poets, and writers of various makes and models. I love to write book lovers; those who have found refuge, companionship, and escape in books, much as we do in real life. I like realism, honesty, authenticity in storytelling. I love to write about enduring love, soul-deep love, in as real a setting as I can make, but with big smooshy HEAs. I believe in diversity, open-mindedness, and inclusion. I like sweetness mixed with steam, love conquering all, and above all, hope. Love always wins.

A BLONDE AT HEART
Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.
Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.
Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!

Kate Stewart lives in Charleston, S.C. with her husband, Nick, and her naughty beagle, Sadie. A native of Dallas, Kate moved to Charleston three weeks after her first visit, dropping her career of 8 years, and declaring it her creative muse. Kate pens messy, sexy, angst-filled contemporary romance as well as romantic comedy and erotic suspense because it’s what she loves as a reader. A lover of all things ’80s and ’90s, especially John Hughes films and rap, she dabbles a little in photography, can knit a simple stitch scarf for necessity only and does a horrible job of playing the ukulele. Aside from running a mile without collapsing, traveling is the only other must on her bucket list. On occasion, she does very well at vodka.

So far she’s written books in several romance sub-genres including new adult, contemporary, paranormal and romantic suspense.
