Sarah’s Musings…

4 Caramel CROWNS

I really enjoyed this book. Dylan is one of Sarina’s steamiest heroes while still maintaining that sweet demeanor I love about her her heroes. The writing as always is great, and the Shipley family is wonderful.

While, Chastity wasn’t my favorite heroine, I still ultimately enjoyed her as a character, and I understood her fears when it came to Dylan.

What the story lacked for me overall is an angsty conflict. It is pretty clear what the conflict will be, and even with the internal conflicts and handfuls of the characters, it was all resolved with any real challenges. I generally like my stories to have a little more oomph.

However, my love of this family, this world, and Sarina Bowen’s writing still made if wonderful and entertaining read. Those bedroom scenes didn’t hurt either. If you a low angst lover, this would be a five star read for you, for sure.

ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

Dylan is my best friend, and the only person in my life who understands me. He doesn’t mind my social awkwardness or my weird history. The only glitch? He doesn’t know that I’ve been hopelessly, desperately in love with him since the first day we picked apples together in his family’s orchard.

But I know better than to confess.

Now that we’re both in college together, I’m seeing a new side of him. College Dylan drinks and has a lot of sex. None of it with me. Until the night I foolishly ask him to tutor me in more than algebra…and he actually says yes.

But the cool morning light shows me how badly I’ve endangered our friendship. And I don’t know if anything will be the same again.
