4 Monty Python CROWNS
CANT TEXT THIS is just pure unadulterated fun. With outlandish humor and quirky characters, Teagan Hunter delivers a romance that is laugh out loud charming.
I love these characters. Monty and Robbie are just great. I love that they are unique and embrace who they are, which is a bit eccentric, but it works for them. The chemistry between the two is fun and light, and the conversation through text, which makes up a good portion of the book is entertaining.
The story itself is a bit slow and not what I was expecting. Based on the the synopsis, I expected the teacher / parent of student forbidden romance aspect to take on a bigger role in the story. Now, here is where I’m conflicted because the conflict is resolved very quickly but in a mature and rational way. So while I would have liked, in terms of pacing to see the conflict a bit earlier in the story and have the road to resolution be a bit more challenging, I did love the maturity of the characters.
Can’t Text This is just a light and fun comedy. It will make you laugh and has its sexy moments. It is really just pure fun!
ARC received in exchange for an honest review.
Can’t Text This truly is a laugh out loud read and my first by this author. It’s engaging and clever and totally appealed to my sense of humour.
I really enjoy dialogue led stories and I loved the slight twist on this by way of text messages between Robbie and Monty. Fun, flirty and filthy is what they are, not to mention completely hysterical at times. Straight laced teacher Monty and tattooed single dad Robbie don’t work on paper but in reality they’re perfect for each other. I think this has a lot to do with the fact that whilst she likes to mind her p’s and q’s, Monty isn’t a pushover and doesn’t take herself too seriously. Robbie’s son Xavie is a sweetheart and the banter between them is hilarious. I thought his character was perfect for this story. I loved Robbie’s parenting style too and his laidback attitude was refreshing. Robbie’s friend Zach plays a large part in their story and in Xavie’s upbringing and the way they joked around was so much fun. The three of them together are fantastic.
Whilst there is some drama to stir the pot, overall this is a light, witty, sexy, entertaining story, which I devoured in one sitting. Lovers of RomCom, or anyone who just needs a good laugh, will find what they’re looking for here.
“Hi Monty. Wanna see my python?”
That’s how I ended up in the bathroom of some dive bar with a stranger.
Me, Monty Andrews, the quintessential virgin girl next door.
I was so out of my element, but there was no denying our explosive attraction, even via text.
Commence Operation Bang Each Other Out of Our Systems, because that was all it was—unfinished business.
I had no intention of falling back into the sheets with the tattooed, muscly, dirty-in-the-best-kind-of-way single dad over and over again…but I did.
Everything was going great—until we discovered I was his son’s teacher.
