Duke of Manhattan by Louise Bay

5 Duke and Duchess CROWNS
Louise Bay continues to kill it with this series of stand-alones. Each one just gets better and better, and the first one was pretty amazing. She has concocted the perfect blend of sexy and romantic, and I am always entertained by her stories, making her another must-read author of mine.
One of the reasons I love her stories are the characters. She creates the best alphas, and her heroines, particularly in this series, are strong and independent business women, thriving in the city. Ryder, in particular, may be my favorite hero of hers, EVER! He has the right amount of playboy swagger mixed with royal elegance to make him completely irresistible. Plus, the man has a heart of gold once he allows himself to start feeling something real. Readers will love the way he ends up loving Scarlett. Scarlett is another amazing heroine. She has started her own company after the end of the a previous relationship. She is smart and driven, willing to do anything to succeed that doesn’t compromise her morals. She does attempt to protect her heart from future pain, which is heart-wrenching and frustrating to watch, but Louise Bay’s development of her character makes her choices understandable. As with most Louise Bay couples, these two are absolutely on fire. From the moment they touch, they click physically, and it is so incredibly HOT!
Readers will also enjoy the secondary characters, particularly the grandfather. He is so charming, and both of the sisters are also fantastic. I am hoping we get to see them again soon.
Louise Bay has mastered the art of intertwining the erotic with romance. Some times, not all the times, the romance and story-line take a back seat to the erotic nature of a book, yet Louise Bay balances them both so well. Not only do readers get the sexy physical intimacy they often look for in a romance novel, but they also get the romantic story-line. Readers get to see Ryder and Scarlett fall in love, and, even though readers will know what conflict will separate them, the way it is drawn out and resolved is emotional and makes their relationship more than just the physical. It is the epitome of romance!
The Duke of Manhattan is going on the must-read list. It is sexy, fun, and engaging with lovable characters and compelling story-line. I love this whole series of stand-alones, and I hope she doesn’t have plans to end it any time soon!

I was born into British aristocracy, but I’ve made my fortune in Manhattan. New York is now my kingdom.
Back in Britain my family are fighting over who’s the next Duke of Fairfax. The rules say it’s me–if I’m married. It’s not a trade-off worth making. I could never limit myself to just one woman.
Or so I thought until my world is turned upside down. Now, the only way I can save the empire I built is to inherit the title I’ve never wanted — so I need a wife.
To take my mind off business I need a night that’s all pleasure. I need to bury myself in a stranger.
The skim of Scarlett King’s hair over my body as she bends over . . .
The scrape of her nails across my chest as she screams my name . . .
The bite of her teeth on my shoulder just as we both reach the edge . . .
It all helps me forget.
I just didn’t bargain on finding my one night stand across the boardroom table the next day.
She might be my latest conquest but I have a feeling Scarlett King might just conquer me.
A sexy, standalone romance.

About the Author:
USA Today bestselling author, Louise Bay writes sexy, contemporary romance novels – the kind she likes to read. Her books include the novels Faithful and Hopeful and the novella series’ The Empire State Series, What the Lightning Sees and Calling Me. The novels and together the series are stand-alone although there are some overlapping characters.
Ruined by romantic mini-series of the eighties, Louise loves all things romantic. There’s not enough of it in real life so she disappears into the fictional worlds in books and films.
Louise loves the rain, the West Wing, London, days when she doesn’t have to wear make-up, being on her own, being with friends, elephants and champagne.
She loves to hear from readers so get in touch!
