Filthy Gods (American Gods 0.5), an all-new Sexy Romance by R. Scarlett is AVAILABLE NOW!!
5 Filthy CROWNS
What have I been doing with my life? Why have I never read R. Scarlett’s words? Her beautifully crafted prose captivated me, her cast of delicious and elite characters seduced me, and her sexy prose enthralled me. I have never wanted to live as a mortal among gods more in my life.
Nathaniel Radcliffe is everything I love in a hero. He lives among the elite, but he has a respect and loyalty that ensnares me. Beyond the good looks, money, and social status is a man who is loyal to his core. Honor shimmers just beneath the surface, solidifying that he is one of the good ones, even if he lives among men who take what they want. There was never any hope that I would be able to resist him.
Although, Nathaniel and Juliette are from different socio-economic classes, and their upbringing couldn’t have been more different, these two are very much the same. She strives for excellence, almost working herself to the bone to afford to attend Yale. She wants more for her life. What is most important, though, is her character. Like, Nathaniel, she is honorable and loyal, and she takes pride in her ability to take care of herself.
In addition to the hero and heroine of Filthy Gods, readers get introduced to the entire crew of American Gods, and if my excitement for this series wasn’t already at an all-time high, it would be now. Each snippet of characterization she divulged all served as a tantalizing tease of what is to come. I feel like I will die before I get my hands on these men, and their stories.
Filthy Gods is paced incredibly fast. From the moment readers meet Juliette and Nathaniel, we are thrown into their insane chemistry. The years of fighting each other in the classroom and being academic enemies has fostered explosive sexual tension that is ready to burst at any moment. It sizzles right off the page and suffuses itself into your veins. Even with the quick pace of Filthy Gods, readers still get intimate moments between the two that allow readers to see them become more than a summer fling. Readers get to see them learn about each other, reach beyond the surface, and become much more to each other than a tryst for the summer. Because we become invested, the conflict, which readers will see coming, still hurts. Even though we know the responses that will come from the characters, hearts still break, and we want for them to see the truth. The resolution and epilogue had me not only salivating for more, but gave me an happy ending that left me elated.
Filthy Gods is the beginning of something great. This novella not only had me falling in love with R. Scarlett’s writing style, but it also left me enamored with a world we will not be leaving for some time, which couldn’t excite me more. I plan to revel in this elite world filled with secrets and intriguing men as long as she plans to stay, and I have a feeling I am going to be adding a few more favorites to my must read list.

Prelude in the American Gods series.
Young. Wealthy. Elite. Attractive. The gentlemen’s secret society at Yale was filled with them.
And Nathaniel Radcliffe, the bane of my existence, was one of them.
As the right hand of the American Gods, he was conceited and arrogant. A dangerously handsome man in a tailored custom suit and shiny black oxford loafers.
The classroom was our battlefield. We made a sport out of arguing and debating, ready to do anything in order to win over the other.
Deadly opponents, deadlier minds.
I’d sworn I’d never give him the upper hand, until…
The secret I’ve been hiding for the last three years?
He just discovered it…and now he has all the power.
