Louise Bay always delivers a steamy read with interesting and engaging characters, and in Park Avenue Prince Sam Shaw has completely stolen the show and my heart.
Sam’s character in the story is completely captivating. His climb up the corporate ladder with real estate investments without any type of post-secondary education speaks to his dedication not only in business but in all things. I also love his lack of connection to material possession, even if his reasoning is sad, his ability not to get sucked into that world makes me love him all the more. He shows control in all things, well, until he meets Grace, and he goes after what he wants with the complete devotion. Additionally, his looks will captivate readers, his stare will enthrall them, and the intelligent man hiding behind the good looks will have readers swooning over Sam Shaw. What makes him more that just the stereotypical alpha hero is his past, and the effect the trauma has had on him in the present day. This aspect of his personality adds a level of vulnerability to this seemingly cool and collected man.
Grace earns the respect of the readers as the heroine of the story, because she is making it on her own. Although similar to Sam, her choice to be successful on her on is to prove that she can. She doesn’t want to rest on her laurels or her daddy’s money, and so she is willing to sacrifice and bust her butt in order to make her gallery a success. Her passion and love of art is clear, and some of my favorite parts in her romance with Sam is watching them talk about art, particularly because the focus is more on how someone feels about it versus the technical aspects of it.
This story and the development of the characters through the course of the book will captivate readers’ attention. From the initial chase of one determined Sam Shaw to the breakdown of walls, this couple will have you falling in love with them as they fall in love with each other. As each chapter occurs, another facet of each character is revealed, and these characters fall a little bit more in love with each other, as they are more than the typical Park Avenue royalty. The conflict and climax of the story is expected, but the way Louise Bay executes the climax within the story is surprising. Readers will not expect the explosion of their relationship to be the result of this event. And while it hurts to watch the falling action unfold, the readers will completely understand character reaction and choices. Louise Bay though brings the story’s conclusion full circle, and provides readers with a fantastic HEA.
Louise Bay continues to be one of my favorite angsty-romance writers. Her stories are always incredibly sexy, filled with emotion, and angsty characters and story-lines. I find myself always engaged and invested in the worlds she creates, and I usually don’t want to leave the characters. Park Avenue Prince is just another example of the talent that is Ms. Bay.

THE PRINCE OF PARK AVENUE FINALLY MEETS HIS MATCH IN A FEISTY MANHATTAN PRINCESS.
I’ve made every one of my billions of dollars myself—I’m calculating, astute and the best at what I do. It takes drive and dedication to build what I have. And it leaves no time for love or girlfriends or relationships.
But don’t get me wrong, I’m not a monk.
I understand the attention and focus it takes to seduce a beautiful woman. They’re the same skills I use to close business deals. But one night is where it begins and ends. I’m not the guy who sends flowers. I’m not the guy who calls the next day.
Or so I thought before an impatient, smart-talking, beyond beautiful heiress bursts into my world.
When Grace Astor rolls her eyes at me—I want to hold her against me and show her what she’s been missing.
When she makes a joke at my expense—I want to silence her sassy mouth with my tongue.
And when she leaves straight after we f*ck with barely a goodbye—it makes me want to pin her down and remind her of the three orgasms she just had.
She might be a princess but I’m going to show her who rules in this Park Avenue bedroom.
