5 ALWAYS CROWNS
What an angsty and emotional ride Corinne Michaels takes readers on with the final Hennington brother. There is so much pain and heartbreak, but she always tempers it with love, leaving her readers with warm hearts overflowing with happiness.
Trent, the most tulmultous and skittish of the Hennington clan, wins hearts. He is more broken then than Wyatt or Zach, and his struggle to find his happily ever after is more difficult. Battling outside conflicts along with his inner turmoil over his choices that have led to the demise of the one relationship he needs to survive has altered him, leaving him unsure of his future. All of his issues in the novel are self-inflicted, and yet the reader never demonizes him. In fact, Corinne Michaels writes and develops his characters in such a way that readers empathize with him and develop an allegiance to his character and his HEA.
Grace is in a situation many readers can relate to, battling between what we want and what we know is good for us. Being able to relate to her allows readers once again to sympathize with her plight. Readers see her pain, and we understand her choices. What readers will love most about her though is that she never relents. Yes, she has setbacks, which is understandable based on the 20 years of history, but she ultimately sticks to her guns and demands everything she deserves and has been denied her whole life. Grace’s character doesn’t have an overt strength, but she is strong with her unwavering love and dedication to all those who matter to her is evidence of her fortitude.
From the very first page, readers’ hearts will fall apart watching the fallout of what should have been an epic love, and the emotion and pain the emanates from these two characters is palpable.. From this point on, the angst and emotional turmoil never relents. With the fight of his life on the line, Trent stops at nothing to win Grace back, and every single moment between them is laced with such hope and heartache that the reader cannot help but be enthralled in all things Trent and Grace. The romance plot line would be enough to engage readers, but then Corinne Michaels drops this absolutely shocking plot twist that readers will not see coming. This surprise plot development just exemplifies that talent that is Corinne Michaels. This detail allows the climax of the story to explode, wreaking havoc on the lives of the characters but also solidifying relationships and allowing for hearts to heal by the resolution of the story.
Corinne Michaels has created an fantastic conclusion to the Hennington brothers. It is everything readers love about her writing with all the emotions and angst to deeply affect their them, but what readers will truly love about this book, and the two before it, is the small-town family love the suffuses every book. She has created a town full of love, hope, and healing, and I am sad to leave it.

From New York Times Bestseller, Corinne Michaels, comes a new second chance standalone romance.
I spent twenty years waiting for Trent Hennington to open his eyes and see me. But it was all for nothing. He chose to keep himself guarded and let me walk away, proving that my time and efforts were wasted.
I’m done being invisible.
It’s time to move on.
A single dance sets my new reality into motion, and I welcome it. After all, Cooper Townsend is perfect. He’s kind, sexy, and attentive–everything a girl could want.
I thought I got it right this time.
That my heart could mend, and I would be happy.
Apparently, some things really are just too hard to walk away from.
