Tacet a Mortuis, the third installment in Amo Jones’s
Romantic Suspense Elite Kings Series is AVAILABLE NOW!
4.5 YOU’RE MY POISON CROWNS
Words. Words just evade me right now. This book closes the story of Madison and Bishop but opens the world to so much more. So. Much. More. Like the previous books in the series, I was held utterly captivated from the minute I cracked up this book, and I couldn’t put it down.
Bishop Hayes is seriously my favorite type of bad boy, and I don’t care how outlandish it might seem that a young man (boy) would be capable of such acts or running the Elite Kings. Most readers will buy into the idea that these guys are groomed for their roles from a young age, and Bishop, in particular, has been taught to be cold and callous, completely authoritative, which is so seductive. You shouldn’t want him but you do. What makes him more alluring during this book, like that is possible (it is), is that readers get to see inside his head. Readers get to witness how he feels about Madison, exposing the real depth of his emotions for Madison.
Madison is a frustrating heroine for me. Every time she has run into the arms of another King, never really going far enough to jeopardize her relationship with Bishop, makes me want to throttle her. At the same time, I understand what drives her to do it. She is unsure of how Bishop feels about her, which causes her to question their relationship and run to other members of the Elite Kings she feels a connection too. Plus, they are all incredibly attractive and have their own brand of swagger that makes them incredibly enticing. The other times that she runs and seeks solace in the arms of others is when her world has been rocked as secrets are revealed. These plot revelations send her reeling and often feeling like she cannot trust Bishop. So while, it is frustrating that she waffles back and forth between Bishop and the other Elite Kings, I get it. She is young and in a volatile situation. I did like who she became at the end of the book; she became some equal in power to Bishop, a rightful King and Queen.
This story is almost sectioned into two parts. The beginning settles the relationship between Bishop and Madison that has been sitting on a precipice ever since the end of The Broken Puppet. We see them struggle with the secrets that have been exposed, dealing with the trust issues that are tearing them apart, and finally coming to an understanding. The second half of the story deals with the Elite Kings themselves and the danger that is looking for them. This part of the story is engaging and captivating, and I became so wrapped up in the story that I didn’t want it to end. EVER. While Amo Jones does leave so many questions unanswered, she resolves the story for Madison and Bishop. I really felt like their back and forth has come to end, and where they end up is where they will stay.
I can promise you that Tacet a Mortuis is everything readers of this series expect. Surprise plot twists, suspense, edge of your seat moments, the often antagonistic and real love between Bishop and Madison, and loyalty and dedication of the Kings. But while she answers a lot of questions, there is so much left unanswered that will be answered with the next couple in the series, and it is going to be so amazing. It really is the end and, yet, and whole new beginning.
**This is not a traditional romance. There is a relationship and an abnormal love between the H/h, but their relationship is not for the faint of heart.
**Suspension of belief is required a bit. The characters are young. There are secret societies tied to fictitious historical events. It requires readers to stretch their imagination, but, if you can, you will be taken on one of the best rides of your life.

Riddle me this…
“I am neither dead, nor alive, and I’m not something little Madison can hide.
But you will be dead, by the time this is done…
the timer starts now, and the games have just begun…”
Madison Montgomery comes from money and power, but when someone close to her commits the ultimate crime, Madison must live with her tainted name for the rest of her life. When she begins Riverside Preparatory Academy, the private school her father has swept her into in The Hamptons, she hopes for a fresh start. What she wasn’t hoping for was the pack of bad boys who run the school; ten, to be exact. When Madison gains the attention of their leader, Bishop Vincent Hayes, a whole new world that she didn’t think existed is exposed to her. A whole world that starts and ends with The Elite Kings Club and these boys, are about to flip her world upside down. Secrets are overflowing and family lies are about to be exposed. Is there more to Madison Montgomery than even she knows?
About this book:
I need to admit something right now. The Silver Swan is f*cked. It might be the most insane story I’ve ever written with equally insane characters. Who knew? You know, when I started this book, it was supposed to be YA. I wanted to write a book that my sisters could read. A book that won’t have people look at my mum like “damn… what sort of messed up shit happened to your kid?”. The angst, the assholeness, the games, the f**kery, the WHAT THE F**KING F**K ARE YOU DOING???!!!…
I cannot even…. anyway, this is a warning (and the only one I’ll give you). It’s crazy. I don’t compare my work to my others, but this book is f**ked. It will most likely stomp all the f**k over people’s hard limits (and not give a sh*t while it’s doing it) and will make you second guess all the morals you thought you had.
This most definitely is not looking like a love story right now… more like a….. I don’t even….*shakes head* anyway, I apologise now. You asked for it……….
