A.L. Jackson delivers the most beautiful prose, poetic and descriptive, and a host of characters to fall in love with in All of Me.
Ian is a broken boy who develops into a broken man. His brokenness creates sympathy among readers, and like the heroine, we see his goodness below the cracks. The flashbacks to his youth only serves to develop the sympathy for him. Additionally, we see his cracks mend, we see him gain honor for his atonement, we see him finally find peace and an HEA.
Grace is such a relatable heroine. The way she loves and protects her children, and the desperation she feels to do so resonates. Her family is what Ian needs. She saves him. Makes him better. Allows him to see worth. They save each other.
The pacing of the novel is a bit where things fell apart for me as a reader. The first 50% of the novel was slow for me. I felt like I should love the story. The overall plot is one of my favorite storylines, and I love the primary and secondary characters, but ultimately, this part of the story dragged a bit for me. However, after 50% mark, the story took off. I couldn’t turn pages fast enough. This was the story I wanted, and AL Jackson absolutely delivers.
All of Me is filled with characters you will love, a hero and heroine who love fiercely, and a story that will ultimately be a page turner.
