Aundi’s Musings…

5 Completely Obsessed Stars

I have been utterly captivated with this series that Kristy has created since the beginning. Each story and each character makes me fall more and more in love with them and Tim is no different. I’ve been waiting for his story since that scene in Gorgeous by the bonfire (you know which one I’m talking about) and if you don’t read it and you will know exactly what I mean. And Kristy does not disappoint with where she takes us. Tim owned my heart and soul from the very first page and it only progressed from there.

I’m trapped inside my head with nothing to distract me but a life imprisoned in silence.

With every new story that Kristy writes I feel like that character is the one that owns my soul. But then she’ll write another and it will be that one. Well, I’m here to say that Tim actually does own me heart and soul. This man it All The Things! He’s so special and amazing that you can’t but fall for him. Tim is so broken and oh so beautiful, he crashes through your walls and takes up residence in your heart. What this man must deal with is more than most, and the fact that he’s not completely shattered is a testament to how strong he is. That’s part of what makes him so appealing, his quit strength and Alpha tendencies are enough to make any women lose her mind.

Gibberish and faces of ecstasy should be the only things coming out of her mouth.

Milah is perfection. She is this super feisty woman that doesn’t take crap from anyone. She doesn’t let Tim’s brooding behavior deter her from figuring out the man behind the surly attitude. I loved the banter between them you could feel the chemistry jump off the pages every time the were together. They are both incredibly stubborn which makes for EPIC fights, that will burn up your Kindle. Every time they fought it was like deliciously sexy foreplay, that will have your temperature rising.

Oh mercy. He used that voice again. You know the one I told you about? The one when he uses my name and it tickles my ovaries? Yeah, that one.

These two are perfect together, their dynamic is completely mesmerizing. The push and pull between them couldn’t be any better, to the point you can feel the connection burst through the pages and douse you in sexual tension. She is exactly what he needs to help him through his issues and show him what he would be missing.

“No matter what, I will always hear you here.” He pulls my hand to his heart before letting go and signing again. “Promise me. Promise me you’ll be back.”

Kristy without a doubt nailed this story. She takes you on a journey that will pull at every single one of your heart strings, leaving you completely and emotionally wrung out in the best way possible. This story hit me straight in the heart and the ovaries simultaneously shattering my perspective, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Kristy had me falling in love all over again with all these amazing character’s that she has created. Each one owns a piece of me but only Tim owns all of me!!

Synopsis:

Milah-

A girl walks into a bar—wait, wrong story.
A girl walks into her classroom—well, technically, there is a bar in this story—where she finds a handsome prince perched atop her desk like a sweet thank you note from a parent.
But when he looked at her, he frowned and painfully shook her hand as if it killed him to do so.
Okay, so this is my story, and I may have exaggerated a teeny bit.
Truth is: I’m a five-foot-tall foreign language teacher, and Timaeus Lambros is my co-teacher—not a prince on my desk—for the rest of the semester.
His stupid-hot face gets on my nerves.
So does his well-fitting jeans.
Charming and gorgeous men like him should not be teachers. They should be locked away in a storage closet… with me.
But that’s just a teachers’ lounge fantasy with a big dreamy sigh attached.
Tim and I can never be a thing. He’s broody and closed off while I’m the new owner of a one-way ticket back to Costa Rica, thanks to budget cuts.
But my abuelita always said life wasn’t a fairytale. So even if Tim does have a magical tongue and a dreamy body, we still might not get a happily ever after.

Tim-

This wasn’t supposed to be my life.
I was supposed to be someone. I had a job. I had options. I had all five senses.
Until I didn’t.
Until a genetic defect became a demon inside me, eating me from the inside out, taking everything I ever loved.
So I fought it—starved it—until I became an empty shell of the man I used to be.

I wouldn’t miss the sound of the music I used to play.
I wouldn’t miss the camaraderie I used to share with my brothers.
I wouldn’t miss Timaeus Lambros—the old me.
Until I did.
Until my therapist goaded me into proving that I had moved on from grieving my deafness.
Suddenly, I’m shoved into a classroom with a feisty Latina and a bunch of preteens.
I’m in way over my head.
The chaos…
The arguments…
And don’t even get me started on the kids.
Being a teacher was not part of my plan.
Neither was craving to hear her words and exploring her body.
Milah Iglesias was mine the moment she signed a four-letter word.
And no amount of budget cuts or international borders will rip her away from me now.

EXCERPT:

“Well, well, Mr. Broody. It’s nice to finally meet you. I have to say, Milah hasn’t been that forthcoming about…” He motions up and down my body with a long nail, “you.”

“Oh my God, Pe!” Milah’s eyes are wide when she scans our group. “I’m so sorry. I’m Milah. Tim’s co-teacher.”

“You mean his boss,” adds Hayes, his hands signing along with his words. I make sure to look around to see if anyone saw him do it, but no one seems to care that we’re standing in the middle of the room chatting.

Milah grins. “I guess you could say that.” She doesn’t sign her words though and I wonder if she saw me do a sweep of the place. But when she shakes each of my crew’s hands and introduces Felipe, I decide she didn’t catch it. Of course she didn’t, Tim. Everyone is here trying to have a good time. No one is worrying about if we’re being looked at. They’ve all signed since we walked in which could look to outsiders like any one of us could be deaf.

“So, Felipe, do you have any grungy hallways that seem a little stripper-y?” I snap out of the signing debate when I see Theo half-sign his words to Felipe. Did I interpret that correctly? “I thought we were coming to a strip club—” Milah’s eyes narrow at me and all I can do is smile. “—and I was looking forward to some filthy romps against something that might end up with me needing an antibiotic later.” Have mercy on my soul. I interpreted it correctly. I guess I should be lucky he didn’t say worse.

“He doesn’t mean that,” I say, mostly because it’s the right thing to say. No one needs to know about Theo’s sexcapades this early into meeting him.

“Shut up, Lambros. That’s exactly what I mean. Point me to a good rug that won’t hurt her knees.” This time, Anniston pinches his side and it makes the group laugh. Whether he really means to have a romp against something filthy or just tried to break the ice between all of us, I’ll never know. Theo works in mysterious ways.

About the Author:

A self-proclaimed reader enthusiast, Kristy started her writing journey back in 2009, reading and writing when her daughter was napping. Establishing her place in Corporate America (because something had to pay the bills), writing became her dirty, late-night secret.

After eight long years, she released her debut novel, Commander in Briefs. It was a long road, but she can honestly say, the road less traveled had the most beautiful sights.

The only thing Kristy Marie loves as much as reading and writing is sports! Especially those that require muscles and a nice ass. Her favorite is, and always will be, baseball. She’s such a fan, that she even married her small town’s high school’s centerfielder where they still live with their three badass kids.
