4 Crazy and Twisted CROWNS
Madman’s Method is a first read for me by this author and was one of the most suspenseful, intriguing and yet frustrating books I’ve read in a long time and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This is a dark, violent and often uncomfortable, read and the prologue gives you only a little inkling, a tease, of what’s to come. It has such a crazy and twisted plot that it’s going to be difficult to review without giving spoilers.
This is first and foremost a tale of revenge. It’s a tangled web of lies and deceit which will have you questioning who, if anyone, you can place your trust in. There are several characters at play here, most of whom are rather vile and selfish creatures. The clever, multi layered plot certainly had me wondering who precisely was exacting that revenge and on whom.
The story is told from three points of view, and by way of scenes from the present and memories from the past. These were straightforward enough until at some point it all started to get very complicated and confusing for me, as we’re only given parts of the whole. However, I’m glad I stuck with the program as gradually things opened up and became clearer, or so I thought! The plot itself is very cleverly thought out and I found myself becoming hugely invested, desperately turning the pages to find out what was going to happen next. A couple of times I thought I knew how this was going to play out, but I missed the little clues and oh boy was I wrong. I actually don’t mind missing those cues that hint as to what may actually be about to occur. It makes the potentially shocking revelation even more enjoyable for me and on this occasion, I never saw it coming. I can’t wait to see how this all concludes. Bring on October and Madman’s Cure, I’m ready. At least I think I am!
It is said, before you embark on a journey of revenge dig two graves. I have a feeling that in this instance, before this tale is told, we’re going to need a whole row of them.
Once upon a time a sinner, a priest and a madman played a dangerous game…
She is a sinner. He is a serial killer.
She demanded vengeance. He demanded her.
She vowed to avenge. He vowed to destroy.
She created a web of lies. He wore a mask of deceit.
She wanted to escape. He captured her instead.
There are no rules in this twisted game of theirs. But there is a winner who claims the sinner.

About the Author:
V.F.Mason always loved reading books and had quite a few fights with her momma over the genre she liked (romance, duh!) She studied filmmaking and thought that would feed her desire for stories, but that didn’t happen. Finally, when she was tired of all those voices in her head, she sat down and wrote a book. It was a huge decision to make and she thanks her friends and family for supporting her in it. When she is not writing, she can be found with her friends doing all sorts of crazy things or reading recent romance books that were written by her favorite authors.
