4 True Love CROWNS
Fairytale Kisses is the second full length, standalone novel in the Here and Now series, and while I didn’t love it as much as book one, Kim Bailey still delivers a well written and beautiful romance.
The hero of the the novel, Caleb Anderson, stole my heart as a teen in Complex Kisses, and when I found out he was getting his own book, I was elated. The grown-up Caleb readers meet in Fairytale Kisses is the quintessential romance hero. He is searching for real love, and he doesn’t have time for frivolous relationships or endeavors for that matter. While the reasoning behind his beliefs in true love is believable, Caleb came across as uncharacteristically well-adjusted for the type of fight he endured for so many years of his young life. It is not out of the realm of reality that he would be this adjusted at his age, but I would have liked to see more of how it got to this place of acceptance and peace. What readers will love about him, though, is the way he loves, certainly making him a swoonworthy hero.
Zadie is a heroine I was conflicted about several times throughout the novel. In the very beginning, a particular scene had me questioning her strength as a female protagonist of the novel. As the novel progresses, her strength and voice grow, and I began to like her more and more. It was just hard to get past that initial encounter. Because I love Caleb so much in both books, her back and forth with him is frustrating, and while Kim Bailey, gives readers a impetus for her behavior, which is believable, my loyalty to Caleb makes it hard to fully love her. Her behavior at the end of the novel earns her some serious brownie points though.
With Fairytale Kisses, I wanted a little more angst, a bit more turmoil from the hero. I wanted to feel his struggle and see him overcome the odds. While his struggle is alluded to in the book and mentioned briefly, it wasn’t enough for me. Ultimately, I wanted more from his past and how it has shaped him in the present, taking into account his choices and how he chooses to live in the moment. The romance between Zadie and Caleb keeps readers engaged with the back and forth. While both characters have been damaged by the past, Caleb is significantly well adjusted compared to Zadie, leading to heavy angst with the will-they-won’t-they saga. The pay off is good when the couple finally gets it together, and the author leaves readers with a taste of the next book in the series.
Fairytale Kisses is another true romance with wonderful writing. If you love those pure and perfect heroes, searching for real and true love, this should absolutely be a one-click.

Lost in a past love, he never guessed his future lingered in not one kiss, but two.
Dylan McCoy had a goal: win-over love, do right by his son and take back control. He didn’t anticipate Chantal’s allure or expect Sean’s seduction. Two unexpected encounters. Two unpredictable people. Neither easy to forget. Both impossible to resist.
When pleasure for two turns to passion for three, Dylan is forced to examine his choices. Can he hold on to the past, a love that’s already gone, and a plan that’s already failed? Or should he change his goal, play a new game, and let two new lovers show him that even when he lets go, he’s still the one in charge?
This book contains graphic language and scenes that are sexually explicit. This includes M/M and M/M/F scenes. Recommended for readers 18+

About the Author:
Kim Bailey is a born procrastinator and sarcasm junkie who gets her motivation from coffee and good books. She enjoys lively conversations, usually with imaginary people, and can often be found staring wistfully into space.
Her novels are emotional, sexy, contemporary romances with strong women, broken alphas, and a kinky beta or two–all of them, fiercely passionate.
