 My Musings…

5 Love is War Crowns

The Knight by B.B. Reid is absolutely worth the wait.  The suspense, the danger, and the love, even if it is a tad twisted, is perfection.

Angel is still the hardened criminal leader readers met in The Bandit, and yet, throughout this novel readers begin to see a different side to him.  They get to see  man who cares, and man who loves, and a man who is willing to change it all for the woman he will go to war for.  Mian is also a very similar character to the one readers left at the end of book one.  What they both have in common, though, is that they are both imprisoned in some way, and only through their freedom can these two truly figure out how they feel and what they want.

This story is an epic journey filled with twist and turns.  Readers have the romance of Mian and Angel to follow, plus the growing danger to Mian and Caylen as well as the the threat to Angel’s leadership.  This story is violent, even the romantic aspects, but fittingly so for the profession and life they both live, but it also contains undertones of love and loyalty.  Plus, the way B.B. Reid chose to end the story honors the character of Mian and the independence she craves while also giving Angel some redemption.  It is truly a perfect conclusion to their story.

The journey to the end of this book is one laced with deception and violence between the hero and heroine, as well as the secondary characters of the novel.  All of this leads to a story that will have readers sitting on the edge of their seats, waiting for the ending of not only the romance between Mian and Angel but also the lineage and legacy of the Knight and anticipating the next story to come.

About the Author:

B.B., ALSO KNOWN as Bebe, found her passion for romance when she read her first romance novel by Susan Johnson at a young age. She would sneak into her mother’s closet for books and even sometimes the attic. When she finally decided to pick up a pen and write, she found a new way to embrace her passion.

She favors a romance that isn’t always easy on the eyes or heart, and loves to see characters grow–characters who are seemingly doomed from the start but find love anyway.

Fear Me is her debut novel.
