My musings…

5+ Oscar Worthy CROWNS

I cannot explain how much I love this novel! Seriously, my words will not be enough. It was light, fun, and so romantic.  I laughed, I swooned, and my heart swelled with joy.  It is simply FABULOUS!

These characters more than anything make this entire novel.  Their personalities, their chemistry with each other, and their story is just phenomenal.  I absolutely adore Charly, and I found myself becoming enamored with her character just as everyone in the novel seemed to do. She is fun and sweet, and she is a spitfire. I really just love every single aspect of her character. Then there is Vaughn. Oh, Vaughn!! I LOVE him! He is a famous actor who has a heart of gold and is grounded in the things that matter.  His dirty mouth, also, doesn’t hurt! What I love most is these two together, though.  They way they interact, joking, bantering, and having fun at all times is so enjoyable to watch. They truly are magic together, and I was entranced from the opening pages.

On a side note, these secondary characters are to die for! I love them all, every single one. I want more.  More of their stories, more of Vaughn and Charly, just more of everything!

This story is so much fun, and really enjoy seeing this side of Samantha Towle’s writing. This low angst, romantic comedy is just perfection. The story opens with the reader sympathizing with Vaughn and absolutely adoring Charly, and from their opening scene together the antics and bantering ensues.  With each passing scene, the relationship develops into more, and it is done so organically, making their relationship and love so authentic. This is a story and relationship that is built on more than just lust, it is built on developing a true relationship.  I also really like the conflict choice that Samantha Towle selected.  It fit with the plot of the story, but also left the character who is to blame free of reader hatred. It hurts them, and it is enough to break them up for a time, but it still leaves the reader loving the character. And that resolution and epilogue! God, I simply LOVE it! I cannot say it any other way.

This book has my complete adoration.  It is my favorite romantic comedy so far of 2017! It is simply everything I could have ever wanted from a rom-com, and Samantha Towle has cetainly found her niche in this angst-free world.  I hope we get to see much more from her in this genre.

WM.Ebook.v2.Amazon.jpg Synopsis:

From New York Times bestselling author, Samantha Towle, comes a new standalone romantic comedy.

Vaughn West, Hollywood heartthrob, has been at the top of his game for years. He thinks he’s untouchable—until a betrayal brings him spiraling down. Now, everyone pities him, and if there’s one thing Vaughn hates, it’s pity.

After a few months of working his way through every available actress, pop star, model, and waitress in California, Vaughn needs to get his life back on track and focus on what he does best—making hit movies.

Charlotte Michaels is in love. Just not with one person.

Louis Vuitton…

Christian Dior…

And the list goes on.

Sadly, Charly’s limited bank account doesn’t allow her those luxuries, and the closest she gets are lucky finds in charity shops and working closely with some of those names in her job as a wardrobe assistant.

Now, Charly has landed the mother of all jobs—working on the new Vaughn West movie. Excited doesn’t even cut it.

Only things don’t go as planned, and it turns out that Vaughn is actually a jerk. A hot jerk, but a jerk nonetheless.

So, why do their clothes keep falling off whenever they’re around each other? And why can’t Charly keep her mind in the closet and off Vaughn?

Getting mixed up with a smart-mouthed, fashion-obsessed wardrobe assistant is the last thing Vaughn needs.

Getting mixed up with an arrogant, self-centered, obnoxious, jumped-up actor who has a lack of respect for fashion is the last thing Charly needs.

Things are about to get hot, dirty, and messy in Hollywood. Very messy. Especially if Charly’s closely guarded secret falls out of her closet.
