Aundi’s Musings…

5 Monster Crowns

This is the first book by Rina that I have read and I am here to tell you that it won’t be my last. I was completely entranced from the moment I opened this book until the very last page. This story will have your head spinning trying to figure out what is going on, only to leave you utterly breathless and twisted in knots. Rina blew me away with this twisted dark tale, this book takes off from the start throwing you straight into this twisted storyline and doesn’t let up.

His masculine voice is like a dark forest in the middle of a starless night. It’s deep and rough around the edges as if all the ruthlessness I the world has been injected into it.

Reina wakes up from a coma and doesn’t remember anything from her previous life. She had a horrific accident that left her with her memory loss and almost killed her. During the story she slowly starts to find out the things from her past that she doesn’t remember. The type of person she was and the activities she was involved in. But as she slowly finds these things out, she finds that she is no longer that person anymore. Whether it’s from the accident or something else she just doesn’t feel a connection to that life. Reina is trying to find out who she is now after everything that’s happened. She is slowly trying to piece together what her life was and mesh it with the person she wants to be now. I loved Reina she’s strong so much stronger than I think even she realizes. She has to come to terms with her new normal after what’s happened and make peace with the person she was and the person she is. It takes a strong sense of self to not break after all that she’s been through.

“So? What will I find, Reina?” The whisper of my name out of his mouth isn’t just a name. It’s a promise. A damnation. A sinister journey that pulls me closer, refusing to let me go.

Asher is something else, he is dark and angry always there to make Reina feel too many differing emotions and confusing her. But at the same time I think his reaction to her is confusing him as well. As Reina is trying to be this new person all those around her are trying to weave the two together. They didn’t lose their memories so they remember who she was. And this person that woke from the coma doesn’t compute with what they remember. Everyone is trying to figure out exactly how to handle this new Reina that they were not prepared for. I think that in itself makes Asher angrier, he’s fighting with himself in regards to her and doesn’t know what to do.

He has the most beautiful eyes, my savior. Green like a dark forest, but also like a tropical sea during a storm. He’s a dream and a nightmare, my savior, like darkness and light. He’s Asher.

The way Rina writes this story is like a tangible entity you can sense. Every emotion. Every moment. You can feel it seeping from the pages. Rina has twisted my whole life up, this book is so unexpected and takes you on a journey that you cannot prepare for. Once you think you know what’s going on something happens and you’re left bereft unsure what you just read. This book is a wild ride from start to finish, and these characters will own you.

Synopsis:

When lies become the truth.

My name is Reina Ellis.

Popular.

Beautiful.

Untouchable.

Problem is, I remember none of it.

His name is Asher Carson.

Gorgeous.

Silent.

Dark.

Oh, and my future husband.

He has three rules for me:

I’ll bow.

I’ll break.

I’ll pay for what I’ve done.

Problem is, I don’t remember what I’ve done, but I have a clue.

There was a fire.

A dead girl.

And I was there.

All The Lies is a dark new adult book that contains dubious situations some readers might find offensive and/or triggering. If you’re looking for a hero, you won’t find him in Asher Carson. Please don’t read if any of that bothers you.

All The Lies is part of a duet and is NOT standalone. The entire duet will be released two weeks apart.
