Bullseye by Monica James

The Monsters Within Duet (Book #1)

Aundi’s Musings…

5 Revenge Driven Crowns

Monica is a master at giving us devilishly dark reads that are guaranteed to leave you on the edge of your seat gasping for breath. Bullseye is a non-stop ride from the moment you open the book. She has created a story full of so many twists and turns you have no idea what’s going to happen next, which leaves you in a perpetual state of anxiety, until the last chapter which will have you saying What. The. Fuck!

She tastes of bubblegum, but underneath her sweetness is a goodness I want to corrupt.

Bullseye is a man that has lived the last 12 years for Revenge. He has been planning for the moment when he comes face to face with those that took the one thing he truly cared for in this world. Bullseye is a multi-faceted character that has so much more to him than meets the eye. He is layered with such complexity and precision that you can see and feel each of his differing layers. He is lost and broken, hard and damaged but also caring and possessive, intuitive and honest. Monica has created this damaged soul so irresistible you can’t help but find yourself caring for him and understanding why Tigerlilly is so drawn to him.

His darkness dances with mine. I can feel it. This darkness inside me has been festering since everyone I loved left me. Everyone has a cross to bear, but mine seems to become heavier and heavier with each step I take.

Tigerlilly is a force, this woman has had to grow up fast and with that she has built these walls around herself. She was always keeping people at a distance not wanting anyone to get too close. She’s broken and lost, and her broken damaged soul finds it match in Bullseye. Their damaged pieces draw them together no matter how much they try to fight it. Her sass and fire are the perfect combination for Bull, she does not fear him she stands up to him, fighting his fire with her own.

Tiger is savage and her darkness dances with mine.

Monica has crafted this multi layered story that is dark and intense but also has heart and soul. She tears through every single one of your emotions until you’re utterly spent and then leaves you on a cliffhanger that will leave you dying for more. This story is not an easy one but it’s an EPIC one that is guaranteed to take a piece of you with it when your done. These characters are damaged and brutal, this book is not quick and is not simple, but it is amazing and you will not regret reading it.

Synopsis:

For twelve long years, I’ve breathed, I’ve bled for only one thing…

Revenge.

Four men took something from me, something which can never be replaced. That one night changed the lives of so many and taught me that monsters are real.

But I also learned I’m the biggest monster of them all.

Nothing and no one will stand in my way of redemption because those men…they’re now three. The fourth—he is the reason they call me Bullseye. They can run, but sooner or later, I’ll find them, just as I did with their friend. They’re already dead…they just don’t know it yet.

My plan was simple until I met her. A fierce tiger who had the power to break my heart. Lucky for me…she can’t break what’s already broken. I am no longer a man because the world is a jungle, and we’re all just animals—ready to tear one another apart.
