SMITTEN, an all new STANDALONE Friends to Lovers Romance is NOW LIVE!!! FREE in KU!!!
5 Your Lioness Crowns
Smitten is a smartly written, exquisitely crafted friends to lover’s romance that is sure to leave your heart lighter than when you started. I’ve been dying for Michael and Alessandra’s story since their first meeting in Bad Liar. These two are the cutest and most wholesome couple I have come across in a long time and I loved every second of there romance.
Michael the goat called fish who is hung like a bull but not really is probably one of the nicest characters ever, I think the only person nicer than him is Alessandra. Michael Fish has always felt like the man left behind. Both of his bandmates are legit heartthrobs and then there’s Fish the guy with the amazing sense of humor who always gets the leftovers. So, when he meets Alessandra and she is legitimately interested he falls hard and fast. He’s never had the connection with anyone that he has with her.
Alessandra is this super shy but immensely talented singer/songwriter. She has killer stage fright but wants so badly to produce music. She is sisters from another mister with Georgie who is Reeds woman which is how she meets Fish. The amount of sweet that pours of this girl is enough to give you a toothache. These two are seriously perfect for each other. They each bring their own kind of quirkiness to the relationship and they build each other up in the best ways. Fish helps Alessandra build up her self-confidence and the magic they create together is one of a kind.
These two were destined from the start built into the fabric of the stars. Everything about their love will tug at your emotions and have you swooning with the level of saccharinity that Fish Michael exudes.
Lauren has this wonderful way with character’s that has you falling in love with each and every one of them and Fish and Ali are no different. She can weave the most addictive tales with equal parts steam and charm that will have you sighing in satisfaction. So, if you are in the market for a light, fun, and ridiculously sweet romance that will have your cheeks hurting with the amount of smiling you’ll be doing than this book is a MUST READ for you!!!

5 I love you ever so much, much CROWNS
Now this is how you write a romance. No drama, no negativity, just a gorgeous love story. Fish Matthew and Ally are absolutely adorable together, they’re fun and funny, goofy in an endearing and entertaining way, a sheer joy to experience. There’s no disrespect or game playing, unless it’s the fun type, and their often awkward yet forthright conversations had me smiling all the way through this book.
Love at first sight it may have been but an unavoidable separation early on in their relationship slows things down a tad and means they’re forced to come up with other more creative ways to fulfill their growing desire for one another. There’s an honesty between them that’s heartwarming, and some straightforward communication that had Ally putting aside her shyness when it came to Fish, that was both cute and sweet, yet sizzling hot. I adored them together. The exploration of their growing feelings, their support for each other, their loyalty, together with Fish’s encouragement of Aly’s talent and creativity was wonderful. They turned everything into fun and made the most of every moment. When they were together, they were “home”. They are true soul mates and I loved witnessing their love bloom and flourish.
Smitten is full of light and joy and fun times. A truly gorgeous, uplifting, sensual and heartfelt read. Together Fish and Aly are a sheer delight, one glorious ray of sunshine and I for one loved them ever so much, much.
4 Cute Crowns
I did enjoy the book, and this is going to shake down to personal preference. As with all of Lauren’s books, it is well written, but this couple just didn’t hold my interest.
They are entertaining. I found myself laughing at bits, but there was a lack of connection between me and the story. I didn’t really feel anything negative or positive about Matthew or Alessandra. Even their moments together were okay, maybe a bit too innocent for me.
I’m not sure it was from the inexperience of both in the realm of romance, or if I needed a bit more gruff to my hero and a little more sass to my heroine, but I just know something was missing for me.
As always, the audiobook is impeccably done. I will always oneclick her audiobooks. The narrators are always phenomenal, and the care in the telling the story with the tiny details creates a wonderful listening experience.
While this isn’t my favorite book, I still love every single word Lauren writes. The Morgan family world and the secondary characters she has built are some of my favorites, and her writing is above and beyond phenomenal.
I met Alessandra at a party. Tried to impress her. Was almost positive I was going to fail.
I think I said something along the lines of, “I’m a Goat called Fish who’s hung like a bull—but not really. I’m actually pretty average.” Smooth. I know. Try not to be jealous.
When she laughed—and I mean, really laughed—I knew she wasn’t like the other girls I’d been meeting on tour. Hell, she wasn’t even in the same stratosphere as those fangirls and gold-diggers.
At one point during the party, Alessandra said, “There’s nothing like a girl’s first love.” I knew she was talking about the first smash hit by my band, 22 Goats. Alessandra said it was the first song she’d heard by us and it “hit her like a ton of bricks.” Ironic, seeing as how I was having the same reaction from being in her presence.
I made it my mission to impress her. Give her the kiss of a lifetime that night. But since I’ve always been the dude with zero game, nothing went according to plan.
I’m not giving up, though. I’m going to win this girl over. I’m done sitting on the sidelines, watching the bad boy getting the girl. This time, the nice guy will finish first. Even if it’s the last thing he’ll do.
