Aundi’s Musings…

5 Rebels Crowns

This right here is what I love about Meghan Quinn; this book had me laughing out loud to the point I almost couldn’t breathe and had so much tension and steam it almost melted my Kindle. Maddox and Kinsley are Friends to Lovers PERFECTIION!!! You without a doubt need this book in your life.

I want to decompress with her after a long road trip. I want to feel her body pressed up against mine while we watch a movie, or share one of her weird vegan desserts that she claims will change my life but only makes me wonder if she was born without taste buds.

I’ve been waiting for Maddox’s book since he was first introduced. This brooding bad boy of baseball has been on my number one list of anticipated reads and I could not be happier. I absolutely died for him, getting to see what he is like outside of baseball and with those he truly trusts was such an amazing thing to see. I loved seeing into the person he is and not the persona. He has a huge heart and a kinky side that I am all about. And the way he is with Kinsley will have your heart melting all over the floor. This man is a force to be reckoned with I don’t know how she didn’t jump his bones so much sooner.

“Scared in a good way or bad way? Because I’m scared too, babe. I’m terrified of the way I feel for you. It’s so strong. It feels like I can actually taste my need for you.”

I loved Kinsley she is this super quirky vegan who spends her time trying to save the world. Her heart is huge and she cares so much for all those around her. She’s been friends with Maddox since they were five and you can tell how strong that friendship is in the interactions between them. I loved that she is so unapologetically her.  It’s one of my favorite things about her, that and when she get’s Maddox to try things that are Vegan! This woman is so comfortable in her skin it’s so refreshing to see, I loved her strength of self. But also, her vulnerability that really only seems to come out with Maddox, this is one of the things I adored about their relationship.

The fantasies I had about him are shameful. The staring I partook in, embarrassing. The love I fell in, unstoppable.

I absolutely LOVE Meghan her words will seamlessly pull you straight into her stories and hold you captive until the very last word. Her balance of humor and steam is impeccable and should definitely come with a warning label not to read at work for fear of laughing out loud! Every time I pick up one of her books I know I’m in for a ride and this book is no different. If you’re looking for a friends to lovers romance that will have you smiling like a crazy person than look no further.

Sarah’s Musings…

Omg! Without a doubt my favorite Meghan Quinn book and my favorite hero. My heart belongs to Maddox, and I don’t ever want it back.

Maddox. Slayer of hearts. Rebel pitcher. Too hot to touch. Lord, I couldn’t help but fall in love with this man. His love of Kinsley and all her parts just made me swoon. He accepts, appreciates and cherished her, and I couldn’t help but love him.

Kinsley was such a great heroine. I love her infectious and lovable attitude, her need to save the earth, and her love of animals. She was irresistible and completely charming.

These two together are too cute. From the moment they are together, there is immediate chemistry and connection because they have been best friends their whole lives. And while I thought Meghan would kill me slowly with anticipation, the pay off was worth it.

I’m not going to lie and any that the crash and burn didn’t hurt. That climax and the falling action shattered my heart into one million pieces, but my man Maddox knows how to grovel, and grovel he did. The epilogue has me grinning so hard. My heart was so full and happy.

This standalone series just gets better and better! I seriously cannot get enough of this world, and it has officially become my favorite Quinn standalone world. This will be a favorite of 2020 for sure.

ARC review

BREAKING NEWS: The Bad Boy of Baseball, Maddox Paige, is totally and utterly whipped.

Okay, that might not be the headlines in the newspaper this morning, but it’s the reality of my current situation.

It all started a month ago when I received a call from my best friend, Kinsley. She got a new job in Chicago and needed a place to stay. I’ve known the girl since I was five, what harm would it be to have her stay at my place for a while?

Ha! Total disaster.

Now instead of going out every night with my teammates, I’m couch surfing and sketching endless photos of my best friend . . . but that’s the least of my concerns.

The disaster, you ask? I’m rapidly falling head over cleats in love with my best friend, my roommate, and my number one fan.

And she has no idea . . .
