Homeless. Hungry. Desperate.
Doe has no memories of who she is or where she comes from.
A notorious career criminal just released from prison, King is someone you don’t want to cross unless you’re prepared to pay him back in blood, sweat, pu$$y or a combination of all three.
King’s future hangs in the balance. Doe’s is written in her past. When they come crashing together, they will have to learn that sometimes in order to hold on, you have to first let go.
Warning: This book contains graphic violence, consensual and nonconsensual sex, drug use, abuse, and other taboo subjects and adult subject matter. Although originally slated to be a standalone, KING is now a two part series.
Let me start by warning you that this book is part of a two book series, King and Tyrant, and this book will suck you in to the lives of these characters. You will have no choice but to read the next book in the series, which will only lead you to read books 3 and 4 in the series, Lawless and Soulless, which follow Bear, who readers meet in book one and two. There is also a novella, Rage, being released in eight days.
This world that has been created by T.M. Frazier is gritty and dirty and full of violence, but, even with the all the savagery in the book and among the characters, there is the idea of love and creating a home and family with people, even if others don’t understand. The story is also very heavy on the mystery and suspense, which I like in my romance books.
I really cannot recommend this book enough, and it is currently free! Give it a shot, and I’m sure that most of you will be enraptured by her plot and characters!
