Chemistry! That electrical current that runs between characters igniting their passions and desires for each other is key to any good romance novel. I love when an author writes in a way that the couple’s energy seems palpable, almost so heavy that is is suffocating the room. This desire often culminates into some of the best sex scenes ever! What I particularly love about these books is that even though the sex in these books is off the charts, it serves a much larger purpose in the book. These writers didn’t throw in some smutty scenes to appease the romance readers. Each of these scenes serves a purpose within the story, often acting as an impetus to character revelations or plot developments. So here they are, my top STEAMIEST READS OF 2016!!!
The chemistry in Man Candy is sizzling. The banter between the two is great. How they interact speaks of more than just physical chemistry. Some times in friends -to-lover romances, the author feels like telling the reader they have been friends forever is enough to establish an emotional connection, and these books often fall flat for me. Melanie Harlow does not do this. She takes the time to let the reader see them as a couple now versus depending on the past. Through their conversations and dates, the reader gets to see their relationship develop and evolve, not just emotionally but physically as well. Additionally, the sex scenes in this book are some of the hottest that I have read, and this is really because of the emotional connection the is established between the characters by the author. Their interactions as a couple are really what sold this book to me as a reader.
He’s back. Not just back in town, but living in the flat right beneath mine. And he looks good enough to eat, which is just one more reason to stay away from him. But I can’t resist. The sex is incredible (pretty sure we’ve shaken the house right off its foundation), but he can’t fool me—not this time. A degree in marketing and five years in advertising have taught me that “true love” is a fairy tale used to sell lipstick, diamonds, and perfume. It doesn’t exist. He thinks I’m wrong, and he wants to prove it. I think he’s crazy, so I dare him to try. It might be the biggest mistake of my life.

Nicola Rendell always surprises me with her sex scenes. There is always some kind of kink, some kind of additional “toy” brought in that the reader would never expect. These scenes push the boundaries for me a tad, but I still think they are some of the hottest scenes I have ever read. Why? Well, she doesn’t add it to shock the reader or through in the standard kink. These acts further develop the story, the characters, the relationship between the couple For Confessed, their hottest scene is the moment they finally commit to their plan. As a result, this led me to see the scene as a complete breakdown of who she used to be and a rebirth of sorts into who she is now. This is the moment when she starts to take control back and make decisions, truly becoming free. Second, books are supposed to push the boundaries, and as I have said before to each his own. If this is what works for them, what gets them off, so be it. It is an expression of their love for each other, and each of the characters are okay with the act, so at the end of the day so am I as a reader. What really makes me okay with the scene and see it as completely erotic is Vince’s treatment of her when it is all over. So while this may be an uncomfortable part of the story for some, it isn’t a frivolous use of a kinky sex scene, it serves a much more complex purpose, and that only adds to the sexiness of the scene.
A brand new dirty, sexy, funny standalone romance…
Lucy Burchett is the heiress to a notoriously disastrous family, and she’s left home for good. But when she runs a big, black pickup off the road, totaling it, she finds herself stuck in the middle of nowhere with the driver. He’s got a body to die for and a hair-trigger temper. Vince Russo looks like a felon, but he’s also pretty funny. He’s on the lam from the cops… and a psychopathic, Russian mob boss who wants to put his balls on a barbeque. Literally.
After a night of ill-advised cocktails and bathroom-wrecking sex, Vince just can’t get Lucy off his mind. But he’s got plans to rob her. And Lucy’s life is about to get a little bit criminal too.
But can a bad boy and a good girl really escape from their troubles together? Can they trust each other at all?
In the steady march of disasters that follow them west, they fight and they laugh. They tease and they’re tender. They’re either oil and water, or chocolate and peanut butter.
Except, they can’t run from the real world forever. And there’s a hell of a surprise in store for both of them…

Seeing the two of these characters come together was just AMAZING and INCREDIBLY HOT! I mean your insides clench because it is so freaking HOT! The push each other buttons and challenge each other for dominance in life and in the bedroom, and it completely kept me riveted to the page. This constant fight between them leads to respect for each other, and they eventually start to break down their walls for each other. When this happens, the couple truly shines. It is completely lovely to see these two characters who have been lost for so long find a home in one another, someone who truly understands them.
The only thing that matters to me is rescuing my sister from the drug-cooking cult that once enslaved us both. I’ve run cons my whole life, and I’ll use my body to get whatever I need. We both crave the heat. The more it hurts, the better. But what if Max wants a different life now, to leave the game . . . to love me? I thought I knew better than to get burned. Now I’m in too deep to pull away. And the crazy thing is . . . I don’t want to.

Kendall Ryan is one of my top go-to steamy authors. I always know I’m going to get something quick, entertaining, and oh so dirty. Bait & Switch had a little BDSM with the roommate, an open relationship with the new woman, and a struggle for man to embrace what he really wants. I am going to be honest, and say I was scared of the open relationship desire of the hero, but Kendall Ryan’s development of these relationships is spot on, complete and utter erotic perfection! Plus, there is the added bonus of some secrets and suspense!
I’m a rescuer. It’s in my DNA.
Stray dogs. Stray women…
But this one doesn’t need rescuing.
She needs something real, but I never keep the ones I rescue.
I could let her go… but I can’t watch her walk away.
I’m an ex-Navy SEAL, and I never give up on a mission.
Bait & Switch is Book 1 in the new contemporary romance series Alphas Undone, which will each feature a new couple. This is a standalone full-length novel.
Dylan and Ace together are magic, completely suited for one another. Their intentions are always driven by their care for the other and their desire to make the other happy, and this absolutely carries over into the bedroom. With each scene, their physical intimacy becomes hotter and hotter. What makes each scenes hotter than the last is the openness and vulnerability of Dylan and Ace. Every encounter opens Ace up to love and a real open relationship with Dylan, and Dylan’s unfailing acceptance and love of Ace and his career is absolutely amazing. Their love and adoration for each other shines through, and their chemistry and wanton desire for each other permeates every scene.
Ace Locke is Hollywood’s hottest action hero. Women across the globe fling their panties in his direction, but Ace isn’t interested in those—he’s more of a boxer briefs kind of guy. Specifically, those of the nearly naked male model on a billboard he drives past every day.
Though he recently made headlines for his public coming out, Ace is wary about pursuing a relationship, fearing what the court of public opinion will do to his career. But there’s something in the model’s expression that intrigues him and has him wondering what if?
Dylan Prescott just scored his biggest modeling campaign yet. One that has him plastered all over L.A. in not much more than what he was born with. And when he’s cast in Ace’s latest blockbuster, it puts him in close proximity to his ultimate fantasy.
Outwardly confident, Dylan has no problem with his sexuality or his pretty-boy looks, and uses both to his advantage to get what he wants. And what he wants is the impossible—Ace Locke.
From Ella Frank’s Sunset Cove series and Brooke Blaine’s L.A. Liaisons series comes a scorchingly hot novel that blends humor, passion, and romance.
What happens when these two worlds collide?
“ACE LOCKE JETS OFF TO SIN CITY WITH MYSTERY MAN”
Sorry, ladies—and fellas—Hollywood’s hottest action star, Ace Locke, is officially off the market!
The man on Locke’s arm has been identified as Dylan Prescott, the sexy new “it” model currently featured in the latest Calvin Klein ads. Sources tell TNZ the men met on the set of Locke’s upcoming action film Insurrection 2, and that “they only have eyes for each other.”
This is the first public gay relationship for Locke, who came out a year ago, and there has been much speculation on who would finally be the one to catch his eye.
According to multiple eyewitnesses, Locke whisked Prescott away on his private jet for a romantic weekend at Syn, the most exclusive hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. After pictures recently surfaced of the new couple, affectionately named PresLocke, it appears from the possessive way Locke keeps his new beau close that things are heating up.
The world is watching #PresLocke, and we’ll be sure to keep you up to date on this budding relationship!
Ace and Dylan’s story continues in Book Two of the Bestselling PresLocke Series.
Sawyer Bennett is the queen of erotic sex scenes. I always know she is is going to deliver dirty talking heroes and heat inducing sex. This series, though, took the proverbial cake as it is set in the Silo, an exclusive sex club, where anything is fair game. The things you see in this club, the acts these characters participate in will rock your world. But what I love most though about this series is that it isn’t solely focused on sex. Each act in the club serves a particular purpose in developing a character or opening them up sexually. Some of the books don’t even have sexual encounters that occur in the club, as that is not what fits the characters’ stories, but it doesn’t lessen the heat of each scene. Ultimately what this series shows is that people shouldn’t be judged for what or who gets them off. If both consent, if both want it (or group of people), then it really is no one else’s business. In the end, owning your sexuality is HOT, and the men and ladies of the The Wicked Horse show this in spades.
Never in your wildest dreams could you begin to imagine all the filthy and depraved things that go on inside The Wicked Horse. Step inside and Woolf Jennings will make every one of your dirty fantasies come true.
He’s covered in a facade of deception. An enticing blend of multi-millionaire and hot-as-hell Wyoming rancher, those that think they know Woolf Jennings admire his abilities to preside as CEO of his family’s cattle and oil empire. But only a privileged few truly understand what fuels the glitter of depravity in those gorgeous blue eyes. Only a few know he’s opened up a sinfully erotic and private sex club named The Wicked Horse right at the base of the beautiful Teton Mountain range.
Sweet Callie Hayes has returned home to Wyoming and is looking forward to starting her life over again. After a night of impetuosity, she’s managed to put herself right in Woolf’s line of sight… the man who she foolishly offered up her virginity to years ago and was flatly turned down.
Now Woolf is seeing that Callie is all grown up and has a kinky side to her that leaves him as confused as it does turned on. Worse yet, both Callie’s dirty desires and sweet heart are getting under his skin, and making Woolf question everything he’s ever believed about himself.
Cain Bonham is as big and bad as they come. After serving in the Marines, he’s returned home to Wyoming and now works as head of security at the exclusive sex club, The Wicked Horse. His job is to protect not only the patrons, but to zealously guard the secret existence of the club itself.
Sloane Preston is all about discovering secrets. As an undercover reporter, she’s determined to reveal the truth behind the facade of The Wicked Horse and expose it for all the world to see. She just didn’t count on her pathway into the club coming at the hands of one gorgeously scarred and bad ass bouncer who manages to easily possess her body and soul.
While Cain’s not looking for anyone to catch his eye, Sloane did it all the same, and he’s not bemoaning the fact that she’s as wickedly kinky as he is. As both get caught up in the sinful fantasies that only The Wicked Horse can create, secrets and loyalties will be tested and hearts will risk being broken.
Rand Bishop’s dreams of Olympic gold were shattered years ago but he’s left that all behind, settling into a new career and lifestyle that would make any man jealous. While he may not be competitively racing down the ski slopes anymore, he’s just as happy getting his rocks off as a Fantasy Maker for The Silo.
He’s good at what he does.
But while life couldn’t be better for Rand, it seems to be falling apart for Catherine Lyons Vaughn, the dark haired, brown-eyed beauty that has captivated an entire sex club.
Having spent years degrading herself on her husband’s whim and now left destitute after his death, Catherine has hit rock bottom. With nothing but her body to peddle, Catherine is merely trying to figure out how to survive in a harsh, cruel world. Lucky for her, Rand has taken her under his tattooed wing, and he’s determined to give her a safe life where she can be the woman she was always meant to be.
Now all Catherine has to do is believe she deserves the chance.
I think this woman may be the death of me. A dire prediction, but probably true.
Probably true because she’s not mine to have and I’ll probably take her, even at the risk to my own safety. So many men slobbering to get a taste of her and only one, sweet, virginal girl to go around.
She’s a virgin.
Looking like a porcelain china doll that would break if not handled carefully. But I also know she’s stronger than she looks.
She’s a contradiction.
She’s most likely my downfall.
Like I said, she’ll probably be the death of me, but it’s a risk I’m willing to take.
Bridger Payne is an enigma that no one can figure out. Wise beyond his years, eerily intuitive and sexy as hell, every woman in The Silo wants him.
None can have him.
Not the real man, anyway.
He might wield the lash for you if you ask prettily, but he’ll get no gratification from it. He’ll definitely make you scream, but he won’t think twice about you when he walks away.
Bridger carries the darkest of secrets. He’s filled with too much pain.
He’s utterly untouchable.
Until she came along.
